Labor Unions Endorse Stinziano for City Council

COLUMBUS, OHIO - The International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 6; Sheet Metal Workers Local 24; Sprinkler Fitters Local 669; and Teamsters Local 284 have endorsed state Rep. Michael Stinziano in his bid for the Columbus City Council.

“I thank these hardworking men and women for their support,” said Stinziano.  “On Council, creating more and better jobs to grow our economy and restore economic prosperity will be my top priority.  I am dedicated to creating jobs, fund essential services to promote neighborhood safety, support our schools, and provide our community with effective and responsive constituent service.”

The Union endorsements add to a growing group of community organizations, elected officials, and business and labor leaders that support Stinziano’s candidacy for Council.

Stinziano is running in the May 5 primary election.  The general election is in November.

The Unions also endorsed sitting Councilmembers Shannon Hardin, Zach Klein, Council President Pro Tem Michelle Mills, and Jaiza Page for Council.
