Columbus Communicator Endorses Rep. Stinziano for City Council

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Columbus Minority Communicator News, Ohio’s leading African-American weekly publication, has endorsed Rep. Michael Stinziano for Columbus City Council.

The Communicator endorsement is Rep. Stinziano’s fifth endorsement for City Council by a major newspaper serving Columbus, joining previous endorsements by the Columbus Dispatch, The Columbus African American News Journal, the Columbus Post, and the Somali Link.

“I’m honored to have the support of the Columbus Communicator,” Stinziano said. “On Council, I will continue to provide everyone with effective and responsive constituent service.  When you have a problem, question, or concern about government, or anytime that I can be of service, please call me at 219-9224 and I will do everything that I can to help.”

The endorsement of The Columbus Communicator is the 21st endorsement that Rep. Stinziano has received this year from newspapers, community organizations, elected officials, and business and labor leaders that support his candidacy for Council, including the Central Ohio Building and Construction Trades Council; Columbus Professional Firefighters Local 67; Teachers For Better Schools; the Central Ohio Labor Council AFL-CIO; Central Ohio Sierra Club; Franklin County Adelante Democrats; OCSEA AFSCME Local 11; the Fraternal Order of Police; The Columbus Dispatch; The African American News Journal; The Columbus Post; The Somali Link; Stonewall Democrats of Central Ohio; Young Elected Progressives; the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, District Council 6; Sheet Metal Workers Local 24; Sprinkler Fitters Local 669; Teamsters Local 284; Franklin County Young Democrats; and the Franklin County Democratic Party.

In addition to Rep. Stinziano, The Columbus Communicator also endorsed the candidacies of Council Members Zach Klein, Jaiza Page, Shannon Hardin, and Council candidate Elizabeth Brown for City Council.
