COLUMBUS, Ohio – Planned Parenthood Advocates of Ohio has endorsed state Rep. Michael Stinziano, a Columbus Democrat, in his bid for re-election.
"Making sure that all Ohioans, especially women, have access to accurate and responsible medical care is vitally important to the health of our community," said Stinziano, who's finishing his second, two-year term in the Ohio House.
“I’m absolutely committed to protecting reproductive rights and health care for all women and families in Ohio,” said Stinziano, a lawyer and the former director of the Franklin County Board of Elections.
Planned Parenthood is a trusted provider of reproductive health information and services. Collectively, their affiliates operate 37 health centers and provide birth control, complete gynecological care, including cervical cancer screening, testing for HIV and sexually transmitted infections, and education and counseling to more than 100,000 patients each year, the majority of whom are low-income and uninsured.
