COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio Association of Professional Fire Fighters has endorsed state Rep. Michael Stinziano for re-election to the Ohio House of Representatives this November.
“We are certain that you will serve your constituents with pride and distinction,” Jim Carney, Director of Government Relations for the 10,000-member association, wrote in the endorsement letter. “We look forward to working with you in the upcoming session.”
“I’m proud to receive the support of the Fire Fighters who work to save lives every day,” Stinziano said. “I’ll continue to work hard to support all that our First Responders do to protect and promote our community and citizens.”
Stinziano, who is completing his second, two-year term, has also been endorsed by Columbus Fire Fighters Union Local 67 and the Fraternal Order of Police, Capital City Lodge No. 9.
“Neighborhood safety shouldn’t fall solely on local government,” Stinziano said. “That’s why I’ve sponsored legislation to increase funding for police, fire and EMS so that they have the resources to protect us.”
“My legislation also funds neighborhood safety programs like block watches and community crime patrols that empower us to take control of our neighborhoods and keep us safe,” Stinziano said.
The General Election is Nov. 4.
