COLUMBUS, Ohio – State Rep. Michael Stinziano has been endorsed by the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association in the Nov. 6 general election.
“Our goal is to help elect the most qualified candidates to protect and grow Ohio manufacturing,” OMA President Eric Burkland said in a prepared statement. “With today’s endorsement, we’ve taken an important step in accomplishing that goal. State Rep. Michael Stinziano supports the issues that are important to Ohio manufacturers and their employees and understands that a strong manufacturing sector leads to a healthier economy, good jobs and improved quality of life for all Ohioans. We are pleased to support him.”
Candidate endorsements are made by the OMA-PAC board of directors based on a variety of factors including public records and OMA member support in the district, the OMA said.
“Manufacturing is big part of the Ohio economy and I’m so pleased that the voice of Ohio manufacturing is supporting my campaign to make our neighborhoods the best places in the state to live, work, raise a family and start a business,” said Stinziano, a Columbus Democrat.
According to the OMA, the Ohio Manufacturers’ Association is a volunteer-driven organization of more than 1,500 large-, medium- and small-sized member companies that serves as the voice of manufacturers in the Ohio General Assembly and before state regulatory agencies. The OMA’s mission is to protect and grow Ohio manufacturing, the OMA said.
The OMA is among other business organizations including the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, NFIB/Ohio and the Ohio Society of CPAs that are supporting Stinziano.
