COLUMBUS, Ohio – The National Association of Social Workers, Ohio Chapter, has endorsed state Rep. Michael Stinziano in the November election.
“Thank you for all of the work you do on behalf of our members and the families they serve,” Danielle Smith, the executive director of the organization, wrote in the group’s endorsement letter.
Stinziano, a Columbus Democrat, said he was proud to have the group’s support.
“Social work is a diverse profession ranging from private practice counselors to social workers in hospitals to social work professionals working in the public policy arena,” Stinziano said. “I will work hard to advocate for social policies that advance social justice and diversity.”
NASW-Ohio represents nearly 5,000 members across the state.
