COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio League of Conservation Voters has endorsed state Rep. Michael Stinziano in the Nov. 6 general election.
“Rep. Stinziano is a strong supporter of the League’s premier effort: continued support of the Clean Ohio Fund program, which provides funds for brownfield cleanup, recreation trail construction, protection of farmland and unique conservation lands, saving the best of the best for all Ohioans,” LCV Executive Director Don Hollister said.
“The air we breathe, the water we drink and the land we work are important legacies for all of us to protect,” said Stinziano, a Columbus Democrat.
“I’m pleased to be endorsed by the League of Conservation Voters. I will support policies and initiatives that protect our air and water and the many places where Ohioans hike, fish and hunt,” Stinziano said.
The Ohio League of Conservation Voters works with elected officials and candidates to encourage them to use their legislative powers for conservation. The Central Ohio-based organization said it evaluates candidates based on their commitment to conservation issues and educates voters and gives them the tools to support strong conservation candidates in elections.
The Ohio League of Conservation Voters joins the Sierra Club in environmental organizations that support Stinziano.
